8 fashion curtain wall design in the word
This article summarizes 8 innovative design cases of foreign residences, which pursue individualized, free and comfortable living, representing the future trends in residential environment design. Let's appreciate them together.
The open terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows blur the boundaries between interior and exterior environments. Residents on the upper northeast side enjoy the urban greenery view of La Carolina Park, while residents on the southwest side can appreciate not only city views but also the natural landscape of Pichincha Volcano in the distance.
Qondesa is 142 meters high with 36 floors in total. Floors 1-7 are designed with commercial and office spaces, while the upper floors above 7 provide 271 residential units of different sizes and compact layouts for citizens. The organic contours and vibrant form fully integrate nature into the high-density vertical community.

One Park Drive - Super Tall Apartment Building
Location: London, UK
Architect: Herzog & de Meuron
This 58-storey apartment tower contains a total of 483 residential units. The apartment is characterized by its unique relationship with the external environment, divided into residential types suited to their scale and relative height. These units are clustered together to form a soaring facade, clearly distinguishing the human scale of the residential units and the unified mass of the office block behind.
Balconies and terraces of varying proportions also bring vitality to the facade. The stepped facade and the constantly changing relationship between slabs, demolished walls and glass make a clear statement about the distribution of unit types throughout the project. Each individual unit will be as recognizable as the overall facade of the tower.

IQON Building
Location: Ecuador
Architect: Bjarke Ingels Group
The building is designed as a vertical community, extending from the neighboring La Carolina Park all the way to the building facade. It has a pronounced curved corner, surrounded by terraces distributed along the perimeter that offer views of the park, the city and the Pichincha Volcano.
The architectural features of the project tower are comprised of distinct 'pixel' units rotated and stacked over 32 floors to provide optimal views while also creating terrace space for the apartments. The building is also characterized by native trees and plants, combining greenery with Ecuador's temperate climate and ecology as much as possible.

The Lanes Apartments
Location: Australia
Architect: Contreras Earl Architecture
The Lanes Apartments located in a prominent corner position on Australia's Gold Coast features an artistic form that reconciles the tension between coastal high-rise and hinterland vernacular. The four residential towers use a fluid architectural language that mimics the contours of the land and growth of flora, striking a balance between the urbanity and the vista to Unity Lake.
The two 10-storey towers contain ground level retail and commercial spaces (which will connect to a future retail village), while the two 12-storey towers feature resident facilities including a swimming pool, sun deck, sauna, day spa, gymnasium, games room and meeting room.
